WTO(Geneva headquartered) was formed in 1995 as per Marrakesh(a city in Morocco,an African Country) Agreement. WTO replaces General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade(GATT-established in 1948). WTO is the world's largest international economic organization.

**All decisions of WTO are based on consensus. Hence it is difficult to make decisions there. Countries prefer to engage amongst themselves bilaterally(through FTA,PTA etc) or multilaterally e.g. Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership(RCEP-India came out of this agreement due to )

**WTO's Ministerial Conference is the highest decision making body and it sits after every two years.(Not so important). But whatever we hear today i.e. Singapore Issues,Doha Development Round(very very important) etc are ministerial conferences held in those cities.

*Sustainable Development Goal-8(SDG-8): To increase aid for trade support and economic growth.

Generalised System of Preference(GSP) of USA & European Union is a result of this SDG-8.

SDG 1: No Poverty

SDG 2: Zero Hunger

If no poverty(SDG-1),people won't be hungry(SDG-2). Just remember.
